A third-generation native of Fort Mill, David Martin was raised in a conservative, blue-collar family by his parents, Johnny and Deb Martin. From an early age, he learned the values of hard work, faith, and personal responsibility—principles that continue to guide his life, career, and service.

David is a graduate of Fort Mill High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete, and Coastal Carolina University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors. During his time at Coastal, he served as a quarterback on the football team and was recognized for academic excellence as a member of the Political Science National Honor Society, Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity, and Phi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.

After college, David pursued legal studies at the Charlotte School of Law and went on to found the David W. Martin Law Group in Fort Mill in 2018. What began as a small practice has grown into a statewide firm with twenty-two employees across eight offices and has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Private Companies in the United States.

Today, David proudly serves South Carolina’s 26th House District in the State House in Columbia. A devoted family man and proud father of three beautiful daughters. He brings a commonsense, community-first approach to public service—focused on supporting families, strengthening local businesses, advocating for strong public schools, and protecting individual freedoms. David remains committed to representing Fort Mill and the surrounding communities with integrity, accessibility, and a strong work ethic.
