Meet David Martin

Rooted in Fortmill

David Martin is a third-generation Fort Mill native who was raised in a conservative, blue-collar family by his parents, Johnny and Deb Martin. From an early age, he learned the importance of faith, hard work, and doing right by others—values that continue to guide his life.

Education & Leadership

A multi-sport athlete at Fort Mill High School, David went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors from Coastal Carolina University.

Serving the Community He Calls Home

Today, David serves South Carolina’s 26th House District in the State House in Columbia, committed to making sure Fort Mill’s voice is heard and its values are respected.

“I didn’t run for office to be a politician. I ran because I love this community, I believe in hard work, and I want my daughters to grow up in a South Carolina where freedom, opportunity, and faith still matter.”
