SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSESS & WORKERS

David supports a strong local economy by standing up for small businesses, promoting fair legal and insurance practices, and creating opportunities for South Carolinians to succeed.

He also helped deliver $422 million in new tax relief, including reducing South Carolina's top income tax rate from 6% to 5.21%, helping families and businesses keep more of what they earn.

ADVOCATING FOR STRONG, SAFE SCHOOLS

David is committed to giving students, teachers, and parents the resources they need while keeping schools safe. His legislative work has included strengthening school-zone safety, protecting crossing guards, and addressing hazardous development near schools.

David also supported raising the minimum starting teacher salary to $50,500, adding another $2,000 to the teacher salary schedule, and making new investments in classrooms, school safety, buses, and school facilities.

PROTECTING CHILDREN & FAMILIES

As a father of three, protecting children and families is personal to David. He has worked to strengthen childcare safety and transparency, increase awareness of youth mental-health resources, and give parents better information about the environments entrusted with their children.

Through his work on Judiciary and the House Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Committee, David also has a role in addressing emerging technology and online issues that increasingly affect South Carolina families.

A CONSTITUENT-FIRST APPROACH

David is working to strengthen public safety while helping law enforcement agencies recruit qualified officers without lowering training or certification standards.

He also supported pay increases for state law enforcement and $24.5 million to strengthen the Palmetto 800 communications system used by law enforcement, firefighters, and emergency responders across South Carolina.

As an attorney and member of the House Judiciary Committee, David believes the law should protect people—not work against them.

He has focused on holding insurance companies accountable, preventing the unauthorized practice of law, and protecting families and businesses from unfair or unethical practices. David remains committed to commonsense legal reforms that strengthen accountability while protecting individual rights.

David believes representing District 26 starts with listening. Whether the issue is growth, roads, schools, public safety, or helping a constituent navigate state government, he remains focused on practical solutions to the challenges facing Fort Mill and York County.

As one of South Carolina's fastest-growing areas continues to change, David is committed to ensuring the needs of District 26 have a strong voice in Columbia.
